Preventative Dentistry

Checkups & Cleanings

During your checkup and cleaning, our experienced dental hygienists will clean your teeth and gums, offering essential oral care tips. Following the cleaning, we perform a thorough tooth-by-tooth exam, checking for cavities, gum disease, and other issues. Regular visits help us catch problems early and create restoration plans for optimal oral health.

Pediatric Dentistry

Regular checkups and cleanings are essential for children, given their higher risk of tooth decay due to shaky dental hygiene habits and a penchant for sugary snacks. Cavity prevention is crucial for their overall health, and we offer additional preventive treatments like fluoride treatments and dental sealants.

Night Guards

If you frequently wake up with headaches and a sore jaw, it might be due to bruxism, or teeth grinding at night. To address this issue and prevent tooth damage, schedule a dentist appointment promptly. The Simple Dental team can provide a nightguard to protect your teeth from further wear and potential tooth loss.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer rates are increasing, and early detection is crucial for higher survival chances. During a routine dental checkup and cleaning, your dentist will conduct a quick and straightforward oral cancer screening by examining your mouth’s tissues for any potential issues. If any concerns arise, your dentist will discuss immediate follow-up steps for your peace of mind.

Fluoride Treatment

Topical fluoride applications strengthen tooth enamel, reducing vulnerability to tooth decay and gum disease. If you consume bottled or filtered water, you may miss out on tap water’s fluoride benefits, prompting your dentist to suggest a fluoride treatment during checkups for added protection against cavities and infections. A brief application can offer substantial oral health benefits.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are thin protective coatings that shield the uneven surfaces of molars and premolars from food particles and cavity-causing bacteria. These teeth are prone to cavities, particularly in children. Sealants are a quick, lasting solution applied during checkups to prevent cavities in patients of all ages.

Restorative Dentistry

Crown & Bridges

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap used to restore a tooth’s shape, strength, and appearance. It is permanently cemented over the tooth and can be made from various materials. The process involves examination, tooth preparation, impressions, and, in some cases, temporary crowns while awaiting the permanent one.

Tooth Fillings

We restore your tooth by removing decay and fixing any issues like chipped edges or problematic cracks. We use tooth-colored composite resin, ensuring lasting and comfortable results with vetted materials and techniques.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

We are highly trained to provide various tooth replacement treatments, including implants, bridges, and dentures. Missing teeth can lead to esthetic and functional issues, affecting facial appearance, speech, and chewing. Dentures offer a cost-effective solution, restoring facial features, improving self-esteem, and addressing speech and chewing difficulties while preventing teeth from drifting and spreading mastication forces.

Root Canals / Endodontics

Root canal therapy involves removing decayed pulp from the tooth’s center, reshaping the canal, and filling it to strengthen the tooth. The pulp, located at the tooth’s center, provides blood and nerve supply. When decay reaches the pulp, it becomes infected, and a root canal is necessary to save the tooth.

Extractions

Our primary aim is conservative dentistry, striving to preserve your teeth whenever possible. In cases of crowded teeth or irreparable damage, tooth extraction may be necessary. If extraction is needed, we will promptly discuss a replacement plan if needed. The most common tooth extraction is wisdom teeth. They often lack sufficient gum space, leading to pain, impaction, or infection, necessitating prompt removal for overall health.

Implants

Replacing missing teeth with implants not only fills the gap but also maintains your bite, preserves bone, and restores chewing function. Implants are surgically inserted into the bone, left to heal, and then, once integrated, a custom-fit crown is created from a digital scan.

Peridontal Therapy

Scaling & Root Planing

Scaling and root planing, also called a deep cleaning, is a preferred nonsurgical procedure for moderate gum disease. We use special tools to clean above and below the gum line, removing bacteria and smoothing the root to prevent reinfection. It may require multiple office visits and can be combined with antibiotics for complete healing.

Soft Tissue Laser

Advanced gum disease often necessitates surgical intervention, typically involving complex and lengthy traditional procedures. However, our office utilizes soft tissue laser technology, enabling scalpel-free and suture-free periodontal treatment. This advanced approach ensures precision, comfort, and faster healing by targeting bacteria without harming healthy tissue, effectively preventing reinfection.

Antibiotic Therapy

The bacteria causing gum disease can multiply quickly, potentially outpacing treatment for moderate or advanced cases. Antibiotic therapy enhances the effectiveness of gum disease treatment, administered directly or orally prescribed by us.

TMJ / TMD Therapy

Our office provides thorough examinations for TMJ, facial muscles, and bite issues. With extensive training and advanced technology like T-scan and Doppler, we offer conservative treatment options for TMD, prioritizing non-surgical approaches such as habit changes, physical therapy, medication, and orthotic splints.
